Religion classes are taught daily in all grades. On days when students attend Mass, the religion class yields to the Mass, and the entire school attends Mass as a community each Wednesday and on Holy Days of Obligation. Students take an active role in fulfilling various parts of the liturgy. Parents are invited and encouraged to participate in these liturgies with us. In addition to our all school Masses, liturgical, sacramental, and prayer opportunities include communal penance services, all school Living Rosary, Stations of the Cross, May Crowning, and seasonal prayer services.
The primary purpose of St. Mary School is to provide instruction in our Catholic faith with practical application of Catholic principles. Since the primary faith educators of children are their parents, St. Mary School acts as an extension of the Catholic home in supporting the instruction of Catholic values. The greatest single factor in building a child’s intellectual, cultural, moral and spiritual attitude is the example provided in one’s home.
St. Mary's also offers a youth group for our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. The Edge Youth group focuses on growing closer to Christ, learning more about the Catholic faith, and having fun with friends in a positive, faith-filled environment. Visit our forms page to sign up for the Edge. Meetings take place on Tuesdays after school.
